postheadericon ASDRUBAL GOES DOWN!

Asdrubal Cabrera – Left Tuesdays game with a right ankle sprain.  Asdrubal is listed as day to day, doesn’t look too serious, but expect Cabrera to be out a few days.

Clayton Richard – Placed on the 15 day DL with a left shoulder strain.  Richard hasn’t been anything special, but should be owned due to his dominant stats at Petco.  Richard currently boasts a home ERA of 2.30.

Jon Lester – Left Tuesdays start with a strained lat and hopes to only miss one start.  If the Red Sox are smart, they DL him and let him rest through the all star break.  Expect him to be placed on the DL.

Matt Holliday – 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and 4 RBI.  This is Holliday preparing for the Home Run derby next week!

Shane Victorino – Has a grade one sprain of his thumb, and might be placed on the 15 day DL.  Expect Victorino to be placed on the DL.

Albert Pujols – Was activated from the DL yesterday, but did not start.  Pujols was available to pinch hit, he is expect to start in Wednesdays game.

Troy Tulowitzki – Was unable to do any running on the field Tuesday, so he rode a stationary bike.    Expect Tulo to be back by the end of the week.

Carlos Carrasco – 4 IP, 6 ER, 10 H, ad 3 K’s.  Even though Carrasco has been pretty filthy lately, he should not have been started by any fantasy owners.  I expect Carrasco to bounce back in his next start, continue to roll him out there with confidence.

CC Sabathia – 7 IP, 0 ER, 5 H, 11 K’s while picking up his 12 win of the year.  In his last 22.2 innings pitched, CC has now surrendered only 1 ER while striking out 33.

Cole Hamels – 8 IP, 2 ER, 8 H, 5 K while picking up his 10th win.  My hand hurts? Yeah right!  Hamels is simply too good.

Drew Stubbs – 0 for 4 as he continues to struggle,  I wouldn’t drop Stubbs but he should no longer be inserted into fantasy lineups.  I am a big Stubbs backers, I do believe he will turn it around.
