postheadericon OHHHHH, FRACTURES!

Brett Lawrie – Diagnosed with a fracture in his hand.  Lawrie will be shut down for at least 3 weeks and then re-examined.  Don’t expect to see Lawrie in the bigs until late July, early august.

Hanley Ramirez – Could return from the DL on June 14th if all goes well.  To make things easier for all, just expect all things to not go well.

Pablo Sandoval – Expected to return from the DL next Tuesday.  Upon his return, you should keep expectations in check, im not sure which Pablo well see.

Anthony Rizzo – Will be called up Thursday and will start everyday at 1st base.  Rizzo is a fine prospect but you need to keep expectations in check, at least for this year due to the park that he plays in.  Petco will kill great power that Rizzo possesses.

Pedro Alvarez – Reinjured his quad and will be shut down yet again.  Its getting awful close to the time where we release Pedro from our squads.

Jose Tabata – 4 for 6 with a single and nothing else.  Really? 4 hits and nothing else, talk about a worthless 4 for 6.  Anyway, lets  hope this is the start of Tabata getting on track.

Carlos Quentin – 2 for 5 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI.  Quentin has single handily been carrying the White Sox these last 2 weeks.  In the month of June he has hit .400 with 4 home runs and 9 RBI.  If history repeats itself, expect him to get hit by a pitch and break something soon.

Curtis Granderson – 0 for 5 and is now hitting .083 in the month of June with no home runs and no RBI.  I said bounce back year, not MVP year, Granderson will struggle like this from time to time but don’t worry about it, he will be fine.

Carl Crawford – 2 for 5 with a home run and is now batting .247 on the year.  Crawford is putting together a 2nd straight very good month hitting .346 with 2 home runs.  I have a question for Carl, where have all the stolen bases gone?

Elvis Andrus – 3 for 5 with an RBI and caught stealing.  Since June 3rd Andrus is hitting a smoking hot .476 (10/21).  Andrus is slowly putting together a very nice fantasy season.

Mark Melancon – Saved his 6th game of the year on Wednesday and now sports a 1.78 ERA on the year.  Melancon has only blown 1 save since being appointed the closer and that was way back on May 17th.  Players like Melancon are the reasons why you don’t draft closers early in drafts

Prince Fielder – 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 4 RBI as he continues to be on a tear.  Fielder has 6 home 0runs and 12 RBI in the month of June.

Cole Hamels – 8 IP, 0 ER, 9 K while picking up his 8th win on the year.  Hamels has been absolutely dominate as of late and now sports a very impressive 2.58 ERA

Matt Cain – Complete game 1 ER, 11 K performance to pick up his 5 win on the season.  After struggling on May 24th and 29th, Cain has put together 2 straight excellent performances.
