Brett Anderson – Going to see James Andrews to get a second opinion on his elbow.  It has been rumored that Anderson will need Tommy John surgery on his left elbow.  Don’t drop Anderson yet, wait until surgery is confirmed before dropping him.

Tommy Hanson – 6 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 6 K and now sports a 2.59 ERA on the year.  Yup, I’d say that’s pretty elite! Roll him out there with confidence every start.

Mark Teixeria – Lets Tuesdays game after getting hit on the knee by a Lester pitch.  X-Rays came back negative and he will miss a game or two.

Jonathan Papelbon – Suspended 3 games for bumping into an umpire in Saturdays win over the A’s.  Expect Daniel Bard to vulture saves while Papelbon is out.

Dee Gordon – 3 for 5 with a stolen base in his first major league start!  I wouldn’t expect such a high average out of Gordon, but the steals are legit.  Think a full season of around 40 steals!

Jemile Weeks – 0 for 4 in his major league debut.  As of right now Weeks isn’t worth picking up unless you’re in an AL only league.  Weeks minor league numbers are uninspiring to put it nicely.

Carlos Carrasco – 8.1 IP, 0 ER, 6 K while picking up his 5^th win.  Was this start good because he faced a weak twins team, or was he just dominant on the day?  Ehhh, I think it was a little of both!

Pablo Sandoval – Homered and drove in 4 runs in his rehab stint Tuesday.

Jimmy Rollins – Charlie Manuel says that Rollins could return to the lineup on Wednesday.  Rejoice, silly sports fans that actually drafted Rollins!

Jake Peavy – Offically placed on the 15 day DL with a groin strain.  Any chance that Peavy can pitch out of a bubble?  That’s about the only way this guy could possible stay healthy!

Vernon Wells – Activated from the DL on Tuesday and promptly goes 0-3.  Wells is not worth picking up until he decides to bull his head out of his butt.
