postheadericon MORE SHOULDER SADNESS!

Tommy Hanson – The Braves will skip his Friday start with right shoulder tendinitis.  Shoulder injuries are never good, expect Hanson to land on the DL.

David Freese – Freese claims hes about 2 weeks away from returning as he just start taking batting practice.  With third base being such a weak position, Freese will be a welcome face there.

Joe Mauer – Was activated from the DL immediately following the Twins win over the White Sox.  Mauer, when healthy is one of the best, if not the best catcher in baseball.  The problem is keeping him healthy, if someone is willing to give him up for cheap, you should try to deal for him.

Matt Holliday – Activated from the DL and went 2 for 3 with a home run and an RBI.  Making a splash for fantasy owners!

Danny Espinosa – It should be well known now that I have a man crush on Espinosa.  Espinosa, from the 2b position puts up better stats than most there.  I like to think of him as a Kinsler lite, with his power and steal combo.

Chipper Jones – Glass Chipper drives in 5 and promptly leaves with a groin injury.  No one should be surprised by this, or by the fact he could be headed to the DL.

Jed Lowrie – His shoulder popped outta the socket and now could be headed to the DL.  Tough break, Lowrie was putting up solid numbers from the shortstop position.

Jake Peavy – As I wrote earlier, don’t be surprised if Peavy at some point does end up in the bullpen.  The Sox earlier in the week were against this and now appear to be a little more responsive, expect Peavy to land in the pen.
