postheadericon AGELESS WONDER!

Paul Konerko – 1 for 3 with a home run and an RBI.  Konerko is continuing to prove that last year was not a fluke, but some have to be worried that people at age 34 don’t have the best years of their careers.

James Shields – After throwing a complete game shut out his last start, Shields follows that up with another complete game, a major league leading 5th.  I’m still expecting a decline, these stats are just not sustainable, but maybe they wont decline as much as I think!

Albert Pujols – Injury his wrist and shoulder after colliding with Wilson Betemit on a tag play.  Initial exam shows that Pujols only has a sprained wrist, we need to await the results of the MRI Pujols took before speculating.

JJ Hardy – 2 for 4 with a home run and just continues to hit since being moved to the leadoff spot.  Hardy is a must own for those who are weak at the shortstop position.

Vernon Wells – 3 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBI.  Wells has  been hitting better as of late, but I still would not own him until he continues to show progression.

Juan Pierre – Continues to just be awful, and we are now hearing rumors that Dayan Viciedo could be replacing him soon.  Not only is Pierre been just miserable at the plate, its carried over to his defense, costing the Sox a few games this year.

Miguel Cabrera – 2 for 4 with a home run.  The home run was his first since June 5th, but has been continuing to get hits raising his average to .328 on the year.

Yovani Gallardo – Yovani continued his Jackal and Hyde ways on Sunday allowing 8 runs, 5 earned in 3 innings.  Yovani simply cannot find any type of rhythm early on in the season, I wouldn’t lose confidence yet, if possible see if you can buy low on him.
