postheadericon ELBOW TROUBLES!!!!!!

Hunter Pence – Doctors say that Pence will be out the whole Rangers series.  This is not good news for Pence owners; one has to wonder if he will be put on the DL.  Astros say he will be ready for Fridays game, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Mike Napoli – Received a cortisone shot in his left oblique.  The next 24-48 hours should give us a better timetable for his return.

Dillon Gee – 4 IP, 4 ER, 1 K, 6 BB while suffering his first loss of the season.  Dillon has been pitching a bit over his head so far this year, but still managed a 7-0 start to the season.

Derek Jeter – On the day Jeter begins baseball activities again, Girardi said that Jeter would return to the leadoff spot upon return.  I know, nothing earth shaking here!

Wilson Ramos – Capped Washington’s 5 run 9th with a walk off 3 run home run.  Ramos now has hits in 5 straight games, could be the start of a hot streak.  Monitor Ramos closely!

James McDonald – 4.2 IP, 3 ER, 3 K 4 BB while taking a no decision.  McDonald has really been struggling lately; in his last 4 starts he has only pitched 6 innings once.  I would not drop McDonald, but he is no longer start able until he figures his stuff out.

Shaun Marcum – Is not 100% yet and will be monitored closely.  After the 3rd inning Marcum will be evaluated inning by inning.  Marcum should not be started on Wednesday.

Hanley Ramirez – ESPN's Buster Olney reports that there is sentiment within the organization that the Marlins would be better off trading Hanley Ramirez.  Hanley will not be traded unless some sort of blow up happened between him and the organization.  The return for Hanley right now is at an all time low, it would be bad business.

Jhoulys Chacin – 6.2 IP, 1 ER 7 K with a no decision.  On the surface those numbers look great, but Chacin walked 6 on the night.  I don’t see any reason to worry, consider this just an off night.

Madison Bumgardner – Will either have his next start pushed back or skipped after giving up 8 ER any only getting 1 out.  I don’t see the reason why he needs to be skipped, before Tuesdays game, he posted 8 straight quality starts!

Michael Young – 3 for 5 with a home run and a run scored.  Young now has an 8 game hitting streak and is hitting .312 on the year.
