postheadericon CLOSER BY DEFAULT!

Jonathan Broxton – Manager Don Mattingly said that Broxton will eventually get his closers job back.  It shouldn’t be hard for him to reclaim the spot, the Dodgers bullpen is just pitiful.

Brandon Lyon – Will undergo surgery on his right biceps and miss the remainder of the year.  Fantasy owners who own Melancon rejoice!

Ike Davis – Might need microfracture surgery in his ankle.  Sounds like we aren’t seeing Ike again this year, don’t release him until you hear the official word.

Shaun Marcum – Says he plans on making his next scheduled start.  I think his next scheduled start will come in AAA as a minor league rehab assignment.

Joe Nathan – Expected to be activated from the disable list tomorrow.  If you have room for Nathan he might be worth an add.  Its not like Capps has been rock solid in that closers role.

Justin Morneau – Will have his cast removed on Friday.  He will not immediately go on a rehab assignment, he will regain range of motion before going on a rehab assignment.

Ty Wigginton – 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI.  If you need help at 1st, 2nd, or 3rd add Wigginton while hes hot.  Please note that he could be dropped by next week.

Erik Bedard – 6 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 10 K and picks up his 5th loss of the season.  Bedard was dominant yet again Wednesday night, it might be time to sell high on Bedard im sure an injury is right around the corner.

Kevin Correia – 6 IP, 4 ER, 5 K while picking up his 9th win.  Correias ERA is steadily rising, if you need wins own  him, if you’re worried about your ERA, drop him.

Neftali  Feliz – .2 IP, 4 ER, 0 K as he takes the loss in the meltdown.  Chalk this one up to a bad day!

Fausto Carmona – According to Manny Acta Carmona is not going to the bullpen.  Hes right, he shouldn’t be going to the pen, he should be sent down to AAA.  Carmona is absolutely droppable right now.
