postheadericon choo in the dui dumps

Shin Soo Choo – Claims that his DUI is causing him to play bad.  Might be the lamest excuse for sucking I’ve ever seen.  I still think that Choo bounces back this year and is a fantastic buy low candidate.

Evan Longoria – Is expected back in the lineup Monday night.  Breathe easy fantasy owners, Longoria pinch hit yesterday and had an RBI single.

Clay Buchholz – Will have his Wednesday start pushed back to Friday.  Probably not a bad idea to give a guy with back issues a few extra days.  I wouldn’t worry too much until he’s missing some starts.

Dexter Fowler – Could be demoted to AAA.  Wouldn’t be a bad idea since hes been fairly worthless thus far in the season.  How does a guy with phenomenal speed have only 2 steals?

Edinson Volquez – Expected to be recalled from AAA and start on Tuesday.  He is not worth a pickup in mixed leagues, but in NL only, he might be worth a shot.

Joakim Soria – Ned Yost said that Soria is close to resuming his closers role.  If Soria is out there on your free agent waiver wire, go ahead and pick him up.

Jhonny Peralta – Hitting .320 with 8 home runs and 31 RBI.  Did any of you see this coming because I surely didn’t.  If by some small chance he is still on your FA wire, jump on his quick as he has SS and 3B eligibly.

CC Sabathia – Was one out away from a complete game against the Angels on Saturday while picking up his 7th win.  To go along with 7 wins CC now sports a 2.80 ERA on the year with 70 strikeouts.  That’s CC being CC!

Jake Peavy – Injured his groin while giving up 6 ER on Sunday.  Does anyone else think it’s funny how Peavy always gets hurt in game he sucks in?  Yeah, this bum shouldn’t be owned in anything more than AL only leagues.  It appears he’s yet again headed to the 15 day DL.

Adam Lind – In his 2nd game off the DL, Lind went 4 for 4 with 2 home runs and 3 RBI.  Insert Lind back into your lineup if you haven’t already.

Carlos Marmol – Blew his 2nd consecutive save.  Don’t blame Marmol for this one, he should not have been out there Sunday.  Marmol threw 45 pitches on Saturday and looked as if his arm was dead on Sunday afternoon.  Continue to roll Marmol out there with confidence.
