postheadericon Aubs Huff Has lifted off.... 3 Times!

Not too much to talk about today due to the lack of games, but here is what I saw that warrants noticing!

Aubrey Huff – 4 for 5 with 3 runs, 3 home runs, and 6 RBI!  That gives Huff 4 home runs the last 2 days and now puts him close to his home run and RBI pace of last year.  Who would thought it would only take Huff one game to get back on track!  Anyway, Huff still should not be started in everyday lineups, until he proves otherwise he’s a situational starter.

Colby Rasmus – 2 for 5 with a triple, grand slam and 6 RBI!  Huff wasn’t the only standout player in this game.  After a pretty miserable May, hopefully this is the start of something good for Rasmus.

Brandon Webb – Was pulled from his rehab start with the same shoulder inflammation that has been bothering him for years.  This further confirms that Webb wont be back this year, and don’t be surprised if this is the end for him.

Pablo Sandoval – Will begin a rehab assignment Friday for single A San Jose.

Jim Thome and Jason Kubel – Both were placed on the DL Thursday.  Does this is even matter?  The Twins are just a miserable team.

Brett Jackson – According the Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune, its only a matter of time before Brett Jackson is called up from AA Tennessee.  Brett Jackson’s talent is endless, it’s a speed power guy who plays great defense.  I don’t think its time to start rostering Jackson just yet, but if youre worried someone will pick him up, go ahead and grab him.

Felix Hernandez – 7 IP, 1 ER, 11 K, and his 6th win of the season.  That’s just King Felix doing work!

James Shields – 4 IP, 7 ER, 4 K as he suffers his 4th loss of the year.  Looks like the James Shield honeymoon is over.  If you thought he was really a Sub 4 ERA pitcher, give me what you’re smoking.
