postheadericon THE TROUT HAS LANDED IN THE BIGS!

Mike Trout – Promoted from Double A Arkansas.  Trout is a massive talent and should be owned in every league immediately.  Trout bring a .330/.422/.522 line with him to the big leagues.  Expect him to start everyday in the outfield.

Charlie Blackmon – Fracture a bone in his left foot while sliding into third base on Thursday and may need surgery.

Scott Baker – Has a mild flexor muscle strain and will have his next start skipped and should be ready to go immediately after the all star break.  Baker currently sports a 3.01 ERA with 7 wins.

Edinson Volquez – Once again optioned to AAA Louisville.  Volquez gave up 7 runs in 5.1 innings three days ago and is no longer deserving of being on the big league roster.

Travis Hafner – 3 for 5 with a walk off grand slam to lead the Indians to a 5-4 come from behind victory.  Hafner has been excellent while he has actually played, sporting a .347/.428/.567 line to go along with 8 home runs and 35 RBI.

Danny Espinosa – 2 for 5 with 2 RBI and a steal and is now hitting .355 with a home run, 4 RBI and 2 steals in the month of July.  Why are people still asking me if they should drop him?

Jason Heyward – 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 RBI and a steal.  Hopefully this is the start of a hot streak for Heyward.

Logan Morrison – 2 for 4 with a 2 RBI.  Morrison hasn’t been doing too much lately, but he did homer Wednesday night.  I wouldn’t drop Morrison is deep leagues, but I wouldn’t start him either.

Carlos Zambrano – Will have a rehab start with single A Peoria and is expected back in the rotation on July 16th, which is the first day he is eligible.  For what it’s worth, Big Z has never had an ERA above 3.95 in his career (9 seasons).
