postheadericon THURSDAY'S ROUNDUP

Buster Posey – Will undergo an MRI on his left ankle after a collision at  home plate with Scott Cousins.  Expect Posey to be placed on the DL.

Frank Francisco – The Blue Jays could start sharing save opportunities based off of match ups.  While I still believe that Francisco will get the majority of saves, Dotel, Frasor and Rauch could vulture some saves from him.

Mike Stanton – 4 for 6 with 4 RBI Wednesday night.  Stanton has been smoking hot the month of May hitting .306 with 9 home runs and 19 RBIs.

Logan Morrison – 3 for 5 with 2 run scored as he just continues to mash the ball.  One of my favorite sleepers heading into the year is off to a great start.

Jake Arrieta – 6 IP, 2 ER, 7 K’s picking up his 6th win on the year.  After getting roughed up in his last start, its nice to see him bounce back strong.

Jose Tabata – 8 hits in his last 5 games bringing his average all the up to .252 on the year.  After starting the year on fire, Tabata has been pretty lifeless the last month or so.  Hopefully this is the start of a tear for Tabata, also one of my favorite sleepers coming into the year.

Erik Bedard – 6 IP 0 ER, 4 K’s with his 3rd win on the year.  Bedard has no pitched 19 innings giving up 1 ER while striking out 22.  Bedard, when healthy, has always been productive.  If by some chance hes available in your league, pick him up immediately.

James McDonald – 6 IP 2 ER, 6 K’s while picking up a no decision. McDonald has now had a quality start in 5 of his last 6 starts.  Yes, its time to pick  him up if you haven’t already.

Mike Morse – 1 for 4 with 3 RBIs and a home run.  This is now the 3rd straight game with a home run for Morse.  Mike is an intriguing player and should be monitored closely, but if you need a cheap source of power he should be picked up now while hes  hot.

Carl Crawford – 4 for 4 with 3 run and 2 RBIs while also hitting a home run.  Looks like Crawford is finally starting to heat up.
